Small World

I was just searching the internet for pictures of the Hill Cumorah Pageant, and accidently ran across this blog.  It had wonderful pictures of the Pageant on it, so decided to scroll to through the whole thing.  Funny thing was, I ran across a picture of Hannah.  Who would have thought!  This is what the mother had posted.

"I accidentally bumped into this sweet girl, and for some reason I felt prompted to stop and ask her what character she was playing. I was with Sierra and it was funny to look at the both of them. They kept looking at each other as if they knew one another. Sure enough they did. Sierra met Hannah at the Boston temple this past Spring break. They were both doing baptisms for the dead, and didn't have a chance to talk. Hannah was with her youth group from New Hampshire and Sierra was with her dad. They made sure that evening to exchange information so they can keep in touch. It sure is a small world ." http://rjorgensenfamily.blogspot.com/2011/07/hill-cumorah-pageant.html#comment-form

I thought this was pretty neat to run across.  It gave me the chills to think about how they keep popping into each others lives.

Moving Again

We are currently in the process of moving to our new house in Cabot, VT.  Well honestly, we have been in the process since about beginning of May,  but the end is finally in sight.

The new house is full up of boxes, and we are gathering a few last major things........you know, food, matresses, couches, etc.  This is how we move mattresses in our house.........and I admit, I tried it once too.   So fun, reminded of me of when I was little, and would slide down the stairs at my friend Doug's house.

REALLY, I DO HAVE A VIDEO, BUT I CAN'T GET IT TO LOAD...WILL KEEP TRYING!

Hill Cumorah Pageant 2011

Our family got accepted to be in the Hill Cumorah Pageant this year in Palmyra, N.Y.  We had a wonderful time meeting people, and sharing our testimonies of the gospel.  There is so much to share about this experience, so I will just put on a few of my favorite pictures.  We have nearly 300 pics of the whole 2 weeks and would love to share them all.
Jacob was Lemuels son.  He was in the wilderness, boat, promised land and ascention scene.
Willem was a New World Child, and was in the ascention scene.  He got to touch Jesus's hand.
My little Nephite Boys
Closest we got to a family picture........plus 2.
Second costumes.......John was a new world Deciple.  Hannah through rocks at Samuel the Lamanite, and Elijah and Caleb were Lamanites.
I was a Noah Citizen,  along with Isaac.  We were in the scene where Noah burns the prophet Abinadi.
The little girl in pink was in my Primary group, her name was also Jenny.

I was also in the destruction scene, and died.

Scout Camp

Scout Camp was help at The Joseph Smith Memorial.  Elijah, Zachery, Caleb, and Isaac got to attend this year.  Elijah got to go as an assistant adult leader since we short on men.  He was pretty proud of that.  This will be his last year attending, which he is sad about.  The boys had a wonderful time as usual.

Family Photos 2011

We tried to get a good family photo before Dela left.  Needless to say, we did get a few pictures, but they aren't exactly what I would call frame able.  Although I have to admit, that we had fun taking them.

Dela Going Home

Dela has weighed her bag (both of them).  She is ready to back to home in Germany.

We took her to the airport.......the older kids had finals ....so they couldn't be here.  All of us were in tears as we said "Goodbye".
A few trips on the esculator, and the little boys forgot they were sad.

We love you Dela, and look forward to seeing you again soon!

Bookmark Contest

Willem won the bookmark contest AGAIN this year.  He drew a house all full-up with books, and him trying to decide which book to read.  His picture was made into a bookmark, and passed out at the Littleton Book Store.  He also received a $25 gift certificate to purchase some books.  He was very happy.

Happy 9th Birthday Samuel

Samuel turned 9 today.  Wow, my babies are all growing up so quickly.  We cut back birthday's this year...as to allow us a few spiritual opportunities this summer together.
But Sam was still thrilled with his giant water gun to chase his older brothers around the house with.

Little Critter Time

May is on of my favorite months for two reasons.........end of mud season, and little critters are being born.  It is so neat to drive around, and see the baby calfs, lambs, and horses jumping around as they learn to run.  We decided this year wasn't good to get many animals, so we stuck with the usual chicks and ducks.  The feed store sells them in quantities of 12.  Well, that is great with the chickens, that works out to be an egg per person a day.  But who wants 12 ducks running all over their yard...........not me!!!
The little boys were a little sad that I didn't bring home baby ducks, so they went out to the barn, and collected a few of our duck eggs to stick in the incubator.
I figured we could try....I wasn't expecting it to really work.  We ended up with 8 little ducks altogether.  Although some didn't completely make it  in the end.
They are adorable though.
Jacob buried the littlest baby duck in the front flower bed of the house.  And gave him an appropriate cardboard tombstone.

cabin fever

It is now the end of March.  This has been (as my neighbor says) "a good old fashioned winter".  The snow started to melt and the maple trees began to 'run'.  Then it all shut down again...below freezing most days, snow building up again....It's times like these that remind me of airplanes and warmer climes.

So anyway, here are some more pictures - enjoy!

Christmas concert at Bath School

In December the snows began.  Some of us were pretty excited and wanted to see how snow felt on bare feet...it's cold.

Elijah and Zach found chasing a fox down the road to be great fun...until they got stuck in a snow bank!  No harm done and the fox got away.

Christmas is being together and loving one another.
